A client in the Vancouver, WA area is looking for a Project Manager to join their team! This Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the operations side of the business which includes but is not limited to stakeholders in the: retirement, insurance, benefits, contracts, and workers compensation space. In this role we are looking for someone who has a technology background as this position will help with projects bringing in technology to these areas of the business, therefore we are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of Application Development, EDI, and Integration experience. This organization is continuing to improve their processes, and we are looking for a Project Manager who can come in and help this organization focus on business improvement and use technology to automate processes. We’re looking for a partner, not a process enforcer. This role requires flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to adjust plans in real time rather than strict adherence to formal project management frameworks. Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a focus on business process improvement; process mapping, value stream mapping, automating processes, etc.
4+ years of experience in technology as a PM, experience working on Application development projects working with both internal and 3rd party vendors, understanding of system integrations
Experience working with stakeholders in the retirement, benefits, contract, insurance, workers compensations space
4+ years of professional experience leading medium to large cross functional projects through a full project lifecycle
Ability to be onsite in a hybrid capacity
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and ownership
Strong excel experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background as a Business System Analyst – gathering and writing requirements
Knowledge of Benefit EDI
Knowledge of APIs
Insurance Background: workers comp, pricing engine
