In this role, approximately 70–80% of the work will focus on ticketing and application support, including initial ticket triage, investigation, root cause analysis, and bug prioritization. This is a fast moving environment where priorities may shift daily, so the ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is service oriented, and works well as part of a team. Responsibilities also include organizing test scope, creating UAT test scripts, coordinating and overseeing user acceptance testing with end users, and ensuring quality and testing coverage prior to scheduled releases. The goal of this role is to restore functionality, align fixes with release schedules, and ensure a successful handoff across systems. You will also be responsible for navigating through tickets for their HR application and acting as a liaison with their 3rd party development team. Therefore, knowledge of APIs will be very useful since this person will need to understand the API connections between their internal application. Other responsibilities in this position include fielding reports of application issues, triaging those issues, and identifying the root cause of the issue. This team manages their own applications, does monthly maintenance releases, and they schedule releases in conjunctions with other teams.
