Job Description

The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs. This role partners closely with People/HR leadership and senior business leaders to ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly hands‑on, with deep expertise in compensation and benefits and the ability to clearly communicate Total Rewards philosophies and decisions.

• Develop and evolve Total Rewards strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead a high‑performing team of 5 compensation and benefits managers
• Design, implement, and maintain compensation programs and pay structures using market data and industry knowledge
• Lead benefits strategy, renewals, vendor management, and program enhancements
• Ensure compliance with all applicable pay, benefits, and labor regulations
• Use internal and external data to evaluate market competitiveness and equity
• Serve as an intake partner for compensation changes and new program requests
• Communicate Total Rewards philosophies, frameworks, and policies to stakeholders
Support pay transparency and governance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior-level experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or Benefits (multi country workforce)
• Benefits: Deep expertise in benefits strategy and administration, with hands‑on experience leading benefits renewals and preparing for multi‑year renewal cycles
• Compensation: Demonstrated expertise in market pricing, salary structures, and incentive plan design
• Data & Tools: Ability to translate data into decisions using compensation survey tools (PayScale, Willis Towers Watson), conduct market benchmarking and pay equity analyses, and leverage HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday)
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and change enablement skill

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting sales compensation or incentive plans
• Experience supporting large hourly employee populations
Proven knowledge of employment and rewards related laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EPA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA) and experience applying them in practice to support pay transparency and governance initiatives
