Electronics Assembler IV

The Assembler is a skilled manufacturing professional who works with minimal supervision to assemble, test, inspect, and rework Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and other applicable standards. This role involves preparing, cleaning, marking, and inspecting components; operating assigned equipment; interpreting drawings and instructions; and ensuring quality through visual and dimensional inspection, including serving as a designated inspector and maintaining IPC Solder Rework certification. The Assembler collaborates across the value stream to resolve quality issues, completes required documentation, supports production priorities, and participates in safety, training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, with flexibility to cross‑train, work overtime, and support additional production needs as required.

• 10–15 years of assembly experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent, with fine soldering certification or equivalent experience; ability to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person status where applicable)
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost considerations to support efficient manufacturing and distribution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, good reading comprehension, and basic computer skills
• Excellent manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, visual acuity, and ability to accurately interpret production and engineering prints, wiring diagrams, and assembly aids
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment

• Ability to coach and mentor team members, with input into the hiring and employment process
• Ability to perform part marking, wrapping, packaging, and transport of finished goods between work areas
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation and close work orders
• Ability to interpret sketches and oral instructions to determine sequencing of operations and installation requirements
• Experience maintaining equipment in compliance with stringent calibration schedules
• Current IPC solder rework certification and Designated Inspection certification
