Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a QA/QC Manager for a leading mechanical construction and fabrication client. This individual will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s quality assurance and quality control programs across both shop and field operations. The role is highly visible and responsible for ensuring compliance with industry codes such as ASME, NBIC, and AWS while driving standardization and defect prevention initiatives. This leader will oversee inspections, certifications, testing coordination, and quality documentation while partnering closely with project teams to ensure the highest level of execution and compliance across all projects.

• Develop and maintain corporate QA/QC manuals and procedures
• Oversee ASME BPVC and NBIC certifications/program compliance
• Maintain welding documentation (WPS, PQRs, continuity logs)
• Coordinate NDE, inspections, and testing vendors
• Ensure proper calibration of test equipment and weld machines
• Track non-conformances and drive corrective actions
• Perform project compliance reviews (specifications, materials, NDE)
• Conduct shop and field audits/inspections
• Inspect fabrication for materials, dimensions, and orientation
• Lead process improvement initiatives and root cause analysis efforts
• Support project teams and attend planning meetings
• Assist estimating with quality requirements
• Oversee QA/QC reporting and documentation systems

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10+ years of mechanical construction or QA/QC experience
• 5+ years in a quality leadership/management role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication and construction processes
• Hands-on experience with ASME BPVC, NBIC, and welding processes
• Experience managing WPS, PQRs, and welder continuity records
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience coordinating third-party NDE, inspections, and testing
• Strong understanding of codes, compliance, and quality standards
