Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Entry Level CAD Engineer to support one of our large Telecommunications clients. This individual will be responsible for converting as-built construction documentation and engineering designs into accurate AutoCAD drawings. The ideal candidate will have foundational AutoCAD experience, strong attention to detail, and a basic understanding of fiber optic network architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret as-built construction documents, field sketches, and engineering designs.
- Create and update 2D drawings using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Convert existing construction and engineering documentation into detailed CAD drawings.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across telecommunications design packages.
- Review and revise drawings based on project updates and engineering feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure documentation is up to date and compliant with project standards.
- Organize and maintain CAD files and related project documentation.
- Work primarily in an office environment, spending the majority of time creating and modifying drawings at a computer workstation.
Pay Rate Range: $20-$22/hr
