Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a background in transportation engineering to oversee projects and ensure deliverables, schedules, and budget expectations are met. Responsibilities include forecasting, resource allocation, safety reviews, QA/QC of modeling and design efforts, report development, and overall project execution.
Technical involvement will vary based on the candidate's expertise and project needs. The ideal candidate has a planning background and extensive experience working with or for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
This individual will join and lead a collaborative, hardworking team that values quality and accountability. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role requires frequent interaction with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Pay for this role is based on skills, qualifications and years of relevant experience, falling anywhere between $55-$191/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
• 11+ years of experience in the transportation engineering field
• Experience leading in transportation planning studies
• Experience overseeing and leading as project manager
• Bachelors degree in related field
Strong communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• VDOT experience extremely preferred
• Licensed PE (Professional Engineer) or AICP (Certified Planner)
• Worked for VDOT in safety, ITS planning, or transportation
