Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Remote QA Test Engineer in support of one of our large healthcare clients. The QA Test Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of member-facing applications across web and mobile platforms. This individual will support the Member Portal team, testing web and mobile applications, APIs, and chatbots that support member experiences. Reporting to the QA Manager, this role collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and other project stakeholders to maintain high-quality application standards throughout the development lifecycle. Their day to day includes:
- Execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality, performance, and usability across web and mobile platforms.
- Contribute to the creation, review, and maintenance of comprehensive test plans and test cases for application-specific testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear, detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Perform functional testing to ensure features meet defined business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and project teams to align testing efforts with IT objectives, business processes, and client needs.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback on application behavior, edge cases, and potential risks.
- Support the team’s transition from manual testing toward automation, contributing where possible to automated test coverage.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, usability, and overall member experience.
Compensation: $40/hr - $49/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–7 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
- Experience with both manual testing and exposure to test automation tools.
- Healthcare experience
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test levels, and best practices.
- Familiarity with web and/or mobile application testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience testing React or React Native applications.
- Experience testing APIs.
- Exposure to chatbot testing.
- Experience transitioning or scaling automation in an existing QA environment.
- Healthcare, member portal, or customer-facing application experience.
