Job Description

An employer in the Reston, VA area is seeking a Top Secret–cleared Directory Services Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. In this role, the engineer will apply secure by design cyber engineering principles to harden system architectures and reduce attack surfaces in support of a federal Identity and Access Management (IdAM) program. Responsibilities include developing and delivering Radiant Logic (RadiantOne) solutions capable of defending against advanced cyber threats, as well as installing, configuring, and integrating RadiantOne and related tools across enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. The role also requires close collaboration with the client’s IdAM team to translate current needs and future objectives into effective implementation plans, leveraging modern techniques and customized designs to balance security requirements with mission priorities. An active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph are required. Can sit in Reston, VA (preferred), Charlottesville, VA, Mclean, VA or Colorado Springs, CO.

Required Skills & Experience

Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph
5+ years of experience with IdAM
Experience with enterprise-grade identity and directory services platforms, including identity management, observability and analytics, federated identity and directory services components, data virtualization, integration connectors, or high-performance directory stores
Experience with ICAM technologies such as Active Directory, SSO, MFA, LDAP, IGA, or directory consolidation patterns
Experience with federation technologies such as SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect
Experience in a DevOps-oriented environment using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, JFrog, and issue tracking or documentation systems such as Jira or Confluence
Experience with a JVM-based scripting language such as Java or Groovy

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience designing and implementing data virtualization pipelines, including joins across LDAP, AD, SQL, REST, or other APIs
Experience with RadiantOne Federated Identity and Directory (FID)
Experience with virtualization, HDAP, ZooKeeper, connectors, and identity correlation
Experience with identity governance processes and entitlement management programs
Knowledge of system, network, application, and security architectures, cybersecurity solutions, key cyber processes such as incident handling, risk measurement, and change management, and key cyber threats, including nation state actors, malware or ransomware, command and control infrastructures, and mitigations
Ability to collaborate with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with technologists and leaders across the enterprise
Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and drive closure
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
