Job Description
A client of Insight Global in the water reclamation industry is looking to hire a Construction Project Engineer to join their team. This individual will lead contract administration and execution of complex wastewater capital projects. This role serves as the owner’s representative, overseeing projects from design through construction closeout while ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
-Act as owner’s rep managing design and construction of capital projects
-Oversee contracts, schedules, budgets, and quality assurance
-Lead coordination between contractors, engineers, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
-Review plans, specs, shop drawings, and resolve technical issues
-Manage project documentation, reporting, permitting, and compliance
This is a permanent direct hire role, and candidates will be expected to work on-site M-F. We are looking to pay anywhere between $115,000-$175,000 base salary depending on skillset and experience.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater treatment or conveyance projects
Strong contract administration experience (RFIs, change orders, submittals, pay apps, permitting, compliance)
Proven ability to manage full project lifecycle (design → construction → closeout) and coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
Solid knowledge of wastewater systems, engineering principles, and CPM scheduling
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Engineering (ABET-accredited)
EIT or CCM required (PE preferred)
