Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to join a growing, Microsoft-based IT team supporting multiple offices across Virginia. This role is ideal for a customer-focused IT generalist who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and supporting end users across devices, systems, and conference room technology. This is an immediate need to strengthen day-to-day Helpdesk coverage, with the opportunity to convert to full-time.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $20-28/hr and based on experience.
Responsibilities
• Provide Tier 1–2 Helpdesk support for internal users
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
• Assist with mobile device support (iPhones, basic MDM tasks)
• Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams conference rooms and AV equipment
• Respond calmly and effectively to time-sensitive issues (e.g., meetings starting, executive support)
• Deliver excellent customer service to non-technical users
• Escalate complex issues to network or security teams as needed

Required Skills & Experience
• 1–5 years of IT support or Helpdesk experience
• Broad technical background (generalist mindset)
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based environments
• AV or conference room support experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person support environment
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or device management tools
• Basic Azure or Microsoft certifications
• Experience supporting multiple locations or offices
