General Ledger Manager

Insight Global is seeking a General Ledger Manager for a top client in the construction and development industry. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing core general ledger functions, leading the close process, and driving accounting system enhancements. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a strong GAAP foundation, a hands-on leadership style, and willing navigating ERP transitions—particularly within Oracle environments. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by guiding a growing team, influencing system modernization, and operating within a highly professional, in-office culture that values accountability and collaboration.

Day-to-Day:
• Own and oversee General Ledger operations
• Lead month-end and close processes
• Review and manage account reconciliations
• Support and optimize financial setup and processes
• Drive transition to Oracle Fusion and associated reconciliation tools
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 direct reports (2 Associates, 1 Senior)
• Partner closely with leadership on accounting initiatives and system changes
Maintain high standards for professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness

Must-Haves:
• CPA required
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Heavy General Ledger background (traditional GL Manager profile)
• Experience with month-end and close processes (recency not required)
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations and financial setup
• Comfortable driving system transitions and change management
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence
• Ability to manage and develop direct reports

Plusses:
• Prior experience leading or supporting ERP transitions
• Prior experience with Oracle (Fusion preferred)
• Experience with Oracle Consolidation (FCC / Hyperion)
• Experience pushing adoption of reconciliation tools
