Job Description

• Direct all financial processes through maintaining an accurate general ledger, reconciling accounts, and providing monthly financial reporting and analysis.
• Oversee that all A/R, A/P, fixed assets, travel advances, employee reimbursements, and general ledger transactions are properly allocated and recorded, and ensure all finance and contract functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop detailed budgets (including annual budget, forecasts, cash management, new revenues, capital expenditures, and joint venture investments) as a part of business planning processes.
• Manage preparation of tax materials for external tax preparers, data for periodic compliance filings, including foreign bank and foreign investment reporting, and local property and consumer use tax. Assure compliance with federal, state, and local tax deadlines. Liaise with outside CPA firm regarding corporate tax, business investment and other business issues.
• Review 1099-MISC for accuracy.
• Review weekly invoices prepared by finance team prior to submission to clients.
• Provide timely, in-depth, and measured guidance/counsel on financial issues, business proposals, policies and operating practices affecting the organization.
• Coordinate the implementation of financial systems and processes, including government accounting requirements as needed. This includes the research, installation, modification, documentation, and training of employees on these systems and processes.
• Oversee management of the fixed asset schedule.
• Calculate and pay quarterly estimated tax payments accruing appropriate expenses and add backs, consulting with outside accountants. Prepare journal entries for close of tax reporting period.

CONTRACTING
• Review incoming contracts from clients for financial, risk, contract terms, clarifications and questions prior to signing. Complete reps and certs, follow FAR and other government contract requirements.
• Certify contracts completed/closed out.
• Oversee contract closeout process and present findings.
• Ensure registrations are current in various government websites.
• Oversee contract specifications for Research Managers.

Required Skills & Experience

-At least six years of related work experience.
-At least two years of public accounting experience.
-Strong experience in monthly close outs, A/P, and A/R
-Proficient in QuickBooks or similar tool
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Macros in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
-Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to share initiatives, results, and analysis with multiple levels of management (writing samples and references required).
-Superb attention to detail; strong organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to work both as part of a team and individually while meeting deadlines in a multi-tasking environment with timely, accurate, and complete work.
•Willing to come in office 3 days a week

CPA
International Currency
Government contracting experience with in-depth understanding of DCAA, FAR and CAS regulations.
