Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Lead Cryptologic Technician to support a federal client in Norfolk, VA. This individual will play a key role in RF system integration, component-level validation, and end-to-end system testing across both laboratory and field environments CONUS and OCONUS. This person is responsible for ensuring RF components, subsystems, and full systems meet manufacturer and mission performance standards prior to deployment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in RF test methodologies, signal analysis, and troubleshooting at the component, unit, and system level.
Perform component-level RF testing and validation to ensure hardware meets manufacturer specifications prior to integration
Set up and operate RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meters)
Execute S-parameter and RF performance testing (e.g., S11/S21, insertion loss, signal integrity, frequency response)
Support system integration and build activities from component to full system level
Conduct system-level testing and UAT, analyzing performance and identifying issues
Troubleshoot RF systems and components, performing root cause analysis of failures
Assist with installation, configuration, and field testing (CONUS/OCONUS, including shipboard environments)
Document test results and support technical reporting and training efforts
Compensation: $85k - $95k
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• 5+ years of experience supporting RF or SIGINT systems in testing, integration, or production environments
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meters)
• Experience performing component-level RF testing (e.g., amplifiers, filters, cables, antennas)
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including frequency analysis, impedance matching, and signal loss
• Ability to perform and interpret S-parameter testing (S11, S21) for signal transmission and reflection
• Proven ability to troubleshoot RF systems at component and system levels
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and RF documentation
• Experience supporting system integration, testing, and field deployments
