Job Description
We are looking to bring on a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Springfield immediately. This is supporting a large natural gas company in the DMV area. This position will be ON SITE for the first 6 months to a year, with the ability to go hybrid at the managers discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Supports design engineering and project management for small to medium scale capital projects and operations & maintenance (O&M) support at storage, production, gate station, and transmission system facilities with focus on electrical equipment and systems
- Performs or assists with formal electrical system and equipment testing and analysis including electrical load studies.
- Works cross functionally with other teams to manage projects once design is approved and construction begins
- Projects will include instrumentation and light mechanical work for these facilities/storage plants/gate stations
- Assist with troubleshooting issues with electrical systems

Required Skills & Experience
0-2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering related field
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - NOT FLEXIBLE
- Preference for coursework in power systems, power generation, equipment and machinery etc.
DRIVEN - go getter mentality
Strong communication skills

Interest in working for a utility
Experience with utilities and gas operations
