Job Description

The Mechanical Quality Control Superintendent provides senior-level quality, coordination, and technical oversight for a large, complex mechanical scope on a long-term capital project. This role partners with project leadership, quality teams, and consultants to ensure mechanical systems are planned, reviewed, and delivered in alignment with project standards and commissioning requirements.

This is an administrative role.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a technical advisor and quality lead for the mechanical scope across the project
Coordinate mechanical planning, sequencing, and integration with other disciplines
Lead inspection readiness, quality reviews, and commissioning coordination
Review RFIs, submittals, and progress documentation to support schedule and cost controls
Provide regular status updates and insights to project and executive leadership

Required Skills & Experience

Experience supporting large-scale capital projects ($500M+) with complex mechanical systems
Strong background in mechanical quality control, inspection readiness, and commissioning support
Ability to lead pre-commissioning and coordination meetings with multiple stakeholders
Proven experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, and progress metrics
Capable of operating as a consultative, project-based leader within a multidisciplinary team
