Job Description

o A SOC analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats within an organization's IT environment. They analyze security alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and implement measures to mitigate risks. SOC analysts also document incidents, improve security protocols, and collaborate with other teams to strengthen overall cybersecurity defenses.

Required Skills & Experience

o 7+ years of experience in a SOC environment.
o Experience in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms.
o Strong skills in containing, mitigating, and resolving cybersecurity incidents following established protocols.
o Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions to assess potential vulnerabilities.
o Experience examining system logs, packet captures, and forensic data to identify malicious activity.
o The ability to clearly document findings, write detailed incident reports, and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders).
o Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline security operations, threat detection, and incident response.
o Experience managing security events, and cyber threat response.
o Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, incident management, and service desk operations.
o An active TS/SCI clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

o Experience supporting Network/Server, Enterprise Applications, or Endpoints via direct configuration or using centralized management tools
o Experience in Microsoft Azure & O365 Security Capabilities
o Knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIST 800-171 security standards
o Knowledge of Risk Management concepts and have put that knowledge into practice
o Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field
