Job Description

The Sr. Network Engineer III provides senior-level engineering support for mission-critical enterprise networks. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions that support organizational objectives and ensure optimal performance and availability.

Required Skills & Experience

o An active Top Secret security clearance.
o 10+ years of experience in network engineering with hands-on responsibility for core enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.
o Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
o Subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
o Experience with software-defined WAN architectures and implementations.
o Experience with Peplink products.
o Proven experience supporting enterprise switching environments, including VLANs, STP, and related Layer 2 technologies.
o Experience managing and maintaining high-availability, high-performance network backbones in mission-critical environments.
o Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, and Nexus platforms.
o Explicit experience performing network traffic analysis.
o Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
o CCNP Enterprise Certification.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

o Expert-level certifications such as CCIE Enterprise or CCIE Security.
o Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform.
o Advanced experience with network automation, scripting, or network programming.
o Prior experience supporting classified, sensitive, or high-visibility programs, including defense, intelligence, or national-level missions.
o Experience operating in secure or restricted environments with elevated access controls.
o Experience interfacing with senior government stakeholders and supporting operational decision-making.
o Demonstrated expertise with Ansible and network automation to design and implement scalable, repeatable infrastructure-as-code solutions for configuration management, provisioning, and operational remediation across enterprise networks.
