Job Description

The Forestry Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing urban forestry initiatives that support the organization's goal of planting 175,000 trees over a 10-year period. This role works closely with external partners, vendors, community stakeholders, schools, parks, and citizens to oversee tree planting projects and ensure compliance with established planting guidelines including species selection standards and location requirements. The Project Manager leads community engagement programs, including tree giveaways and invasive species initiatives, while managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables. This position ensures plantings are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the County’s goals through effective project planning, stakeholder communication, and ongoing program oversight.

Required Skills & Experience

5-7 years of project management experience
Experience with forestry, conservation, arborist, parks and recreation, stormwater, or land management
Bachelors degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters degree
Government experience
