Job Description

The Agency Account Manager is responsible for driving premium growth across a network of independent insurance agencies in Western Texas (Must be located in Lubbock-Amarillo-Midland-Odessa, TX) This role serves as the primary liaison between the carrier and its agency partners, focused on recruiting, developing, and activating agencies to effectively sell the company’s insurance products.

This is a relationship-driven, field-based role that blends sales leadership, agency management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Agency Relationship Management - build and manage strong relationships with independent agency owners, principals, and producers
Sales Growth & Production - drive premium growth, develop and execute territory sales plans, and identify new business opportunities
Agency Recruitment & Appointment - identify, recruit, and onboard high-performing independent agencies
Training & Development - train agency partners on products, underwriting guidelines, and quoting/binding tools and support new product roll outs
Product & Market Alignment - educate agencies on carrier appetite, competitive positioning, and target industries, gather market feedback and share insights with underwriting and product teams, support agencies in positioning solutions for commercial and/or personal line clients
Territory & Business Strategy - develop and execute regional growth strategies specific to Western Texas markets, analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and leadership teams to drive results.
Salary range: $60,000-$100,000 depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10+ years of experience in insurance industry
Experience developing business with independent agents
Experience managing independent agents
