Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Systems/Network Engineer to work hybrid in Dahlgren, Virginia. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance, a Security+, a CCNA certification (or ability to obtain the CCNA within 6 months of starting), and 3-5 years' of strong hands-on experience with network switching, TCP/IP protocols, and routing technologies. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, configuring routers and switches, and supporting overall network performance and reliability. This role also involves troubleshooting complex issues, executing test plans, and contributing to network architecture and standardization efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and thrives in both independent and team-based project environments. The pay for this role ranges from $50/hour-$51/hour, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Active Security+ clearance
• CCNA certification, or ability to obtain within first 6 months
• 3–5 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or related IT field
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting routers and switches, TCP/IP protocols
• Experience working with LAN/WAN environments and network infrastructure
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis
• Experience developing or executing test plans for system/network performance
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based, project-driven environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•Experience with Cisco, Mellanox, or similar networking equipment
•Familiarity with network modeling, analysis, or capacity planning
•Exposure to designing network architectures or creating system diagrams
•Experience supporting DoD or government environments
