Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization, Storage & Backup) to support a government program in Dahlgren, VA. This individual will play a key role in supporting and enhancing enterprise IT infrastructure across virtualization, storage, and backup environments, with a primary focus on VMware administration and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments. Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance, IAT Level II certification, and 3-5+ years of VMware and enterprise infrastructure experience. Responsibilities include building, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting VMware environments, managing storage directly connected to VMware infrastructures, supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions, and ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements. The pay for this role ranges from $57-$59/hour, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
•Active Top Secret Clearance
•Current IAT Level II Certification
•3-5+ years of hands-on VMware administration experience (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), cluster administration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production support)
•Experience creating and managing VMware datastores and ESXi clusters; Experience supporting storage attached to VMware environments and understanding storage concepts (SANs, LUNs, datastores, snapshots, and replication)
•3-5+ years supporting enterprise storage platforms (NetApp preferred; VAST, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, or similar)
•Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions (Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Commvault, NetBackup, or similar)
•Ability to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure systems
•Experience creating technical documentation (SOPs, system designs, test plans)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•Experience maintaining NAS storage systems
•Experience performing ESXi and vSphere upgrades
•Experience supporting multi-cluster VMware environments
•Experience with VAST Storage
•Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring/logging tools
•PowerShell or Python scripting experience
