Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our client in the industrial manufacturing industry. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working directly with transformer OEMs to deliver high-performance insulation solutions using advanced Diamond Dot Paper coating technology. The role blends hands-on engineering expertise with consultative sales, offering the opportunity to influence product innovation, support manufacturing excellence, and drive revenue through technically sound, customer-focused solutions.

Yearly Salary - $110K-$115K and is dependent on experience!

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales or application engineering
• Direct experience within the power transformer/electrical insulation industry or experience within the paper industry.
Strong customer-facing, consultative communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Diamond Dot Paper (DDP) or coated insulation materials
• Knowledge of UL / IEC / IEEE electrical insulation standards
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems
• Background supporting manufacturing or coating operations
Experience creating techno-commercial proposals or ROI analyses
