Job Description

• Insight Global is looking for a Structural Designer to join the team at one of their clients in the EPC industry. This role will serve as a project-level designer, responsible for hands-on 3D structural modeling as well as coordination and quality control. The ideal candidate brings strong 3D structural design experience, a deep understanding of industrial structures, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. This individual contributes to large-scale facilities projects in the Aerospace & Industrial industry, working on projects like aircraft assembly & maintenance facilities, aerospace component manufacturing, defense & military related industrial facilities, high bay manufacturing spaces, and advanced materials and machining facilities.

Responsibilities:
• Modeling & Drafting: Develop detailed Revit structural models and construction drawing sets (plans, sections, details).
• Engineering Support: Interpret sketches, markups, and design calculations provided by engineers to create accurate drawings.
• Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, architects, and engineers to identify and resolve BIM model conflicts.
• Standards Compliance: Apply company and industry standards (e.g., BIM standards) to all deliverables.
• Document Management: Assist with organizing project documents, such as transmittals, PDFs, and shop drawing sets.
• Incorporate schedules, budgets and project criteria into civil design and layouts.
Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.

Required Skills & Experience

• AS / Technical Drafting Degree (No Degreed Engineers) OR
• 1-5 years of experience in a designer/drafter role
Familiarity with Revit (either from school or in professional setting)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Structural design experience
Industrial/large commercial industry experience
