Job Description

As the Lead ATF Automation Engineer, you will:
• Lead and Mentor: Provide technical leadership, coaching, delegation, and guidance to a small team of test engineers, reviewing their work products and fostering skill development.
• Strategy and Architecture: Define and implement the comprehensive ServiceNow ATF testing strategy, including architecture for Test Suites, Test Cases, and Custom UI/Server-Side Test Steps.
• Test Case Management: Own the test lifecycle within our Test Management tool, Zephyr. This includes designing the structure for organizing and managing both manual and automated test cases, linking them to requirements, and ensuring accurate execution reporting.
• Development and Execution: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated test scripts using ATF and JavaScript to validate new features, custom applications, configuration changes, and system upgrades.
• Regression Management: Own and manage the entire regression test portfolio, ensuring comprehensive coverage for all system patching, hotfixes, and platform releases (e.g., bi-annual ServiceNow releases).
• Integration: Integrate ATF testing results and execution status back into Zephyr to provide a consolidated view of testing efforts. Support the integration of ATF testing into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., leveraging tools like Jenkins or similar) to support continuous quality and DevOps practices.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with ServiceNow Administrators, Developers, Product Owners, and Security teams to ensure testing aligns with functional requirements, performance targets, and security protocols (e.g., RMF compliance).
• Reporting & Metrics: Establish and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics related to test coverage, execution status (leveraging data from Zephyr), and defect trends to project leadership.
• Documentation: Maintain high-quality documentation for test plans, automation standards, and execution procedures.
