Senior Network Engineer

This role involves managing and overseeing perimeter networks, including B2B, internet DMZ, Cloud, and trading/market exchange connectivity. You will collaborate on cross-platform projects with teams responsible for Global Markets, Collaboration, Market Data, Compute, Storage, Information Security, and Data Centre, providing expert knowledge and guidance. Additionally, you will introduce, communicate, and develop strategic networking technologies to enhance scalability and functionality. Active participation in the product lifecycle, from the introduction of new technologies to their eventual phase-out, is required. You will design and implement new solutions for internal clients to meet business requirements, manage and deliver a variety of concurrent projects ranging in scale from small to very large, and provide technical escalation support for complex problems. Furthermore, you will work with networking product vendors and telecom service providers to support all of these responsibilities. Pay Ranges from $55-$75hr and is solely dependant upon experience

Extensive technical experience in engineering and implementing networking technologies within a large enterprise, ideally with some exposure to the financial sector.
In-depth knowledge of perimeter networks, external connectivity, security standards, cloud connectivity, data center design principles, products, and protocols.
Strong understanding of network security architectures, models, and methodologies, including authentication schemes, encryption techniques, and standards.
Design and product experience with firewalls such as Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
Comprehensive knowledge of WAN/LAN topologies and protocols, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PIM, and MPLS.
Extensive technical experience with various networking technologies, including Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, ASR, ISR, NCS product lines, Layer 4-7 switching/high availability (Citrix Netscaler preferred), Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, and Fortinet FortiOS.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Extensive experience in managing, designing, and implementing internetworking solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management, particularly with large network deployments and cross-discipline project deliverables.
Solid experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.
Preferred experience in application performance optimization and troubleshooting through packet-level analysis.
Preferred experience in software scripting and development, including automation, accessing web-based services via API, and using GitLab and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) for cloud deployments.
