Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a chief cybersecurity systems engineer to support a fully onsite customer in Roy, Utah as the technical authority across the program. This role is responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of cyber engineering scope, ensuring alignment to cost, schedule, and mission requirements. You will manage and mentor a distributed team of cybersecurity engineers, drive technical decisions, and oversee risk, quality, and overall engineering execution. The role partners closely with program leadership and the engineering team to achieve program objectives while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards (RMF, CNSSI, etc.). Responsibilities also include leading cybersecurity assessments, engineering reviews, and accreditation activities, and collaborating across government, internal teams, and suppliers in an Agile/DevSecOps environment. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience supporting large government programs, strong expertise in cybersecurity systems engineering and weapon system architecture, proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, and an active Secret clearance with eligibility for a TS/SCI.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 16 years of relevant experience; Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 11 years of relevant experience
- Expert level knowledge of Cybersecurity Systems
- Engineering practices and Weapon System Cyber Architecture, including advanced knowledge of network technologies, custom hardware, software implementations, DoD system development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applications for very large scale development programs
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles on a large program designing, implementing, and/or operating cyber security protections for weapon systems and/or supporting mission systems and networks
- Minimum 10 years proven experience in Systems Engineering leadership roles covering all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including delivery
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Cyber Security Risk Management Construct and/or Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide
-Working experience with Cyber Developmental Test and Evaluation and/or Operational Test and Evaluation
-Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret w/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility
- Meets criteria for DoDI 8140 advanced proficiency level

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Open to 10% travel
- Experience with Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile systems
- Preferred experience includes MBSE tools, DevSecOps environments, high-assurance systems, and advanced cyber accreditation processes
