Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for one of our large manufacturing clients in Waller, Tx. The Desktop Support tech will investigate and resolve user software and hardware problems, answer questions, and apply knowledge of software, hardware and troubleshooting procedures. This person will call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products and may develop user training materials and train end-users on software and hardware, or recommend outside contractors to provide training. They will be joining a team of 22 other desktop support technicians to help support 4,500 PC's and a branch that has 2,000 azure virtual PC's. This person will need to be local and report onsite 5 days/week in Waller, Tx.
-3 years' prior desktop experience in O365 environment.
-Prior PC deployment hardware experience.
-Must be PC literate and be able to support Microsoft Office products (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).
-Experience supporting Active Directory functions.
-Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
-Ability to work well with team members/customers and diffuse volatile issues.
