Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD/Engineering Technologist to support our Engineering Support team through the development, maintenance, and management of engineering drawings in AutoCAD. This role is primarily focused on drafting, drawing updates, standards compliance, and document accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, designers, and contractors to create and revise technical drawings, ensure adherence to company drafting standards, and support project execution through high-quality CAD deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings in AutoCAD based on engineer, project team, and contractor markups and requirements.
• Update existing drawings, P&IDs, plans, details, and other technical documents to accurately reflect project changes and field modifications.
• Apply company CAD standards, drawing conventions, and document control requirements to ensure drawing quality and consistency.
• Perform detailed quality checks of drawings for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and compliance with established standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, document controllers, and contractors to support efficient development, review, and issuance of drawing deliverables.
• Incorporate redlines, comments, and field information into drawings while maintaining revision history and document integrity.
• Support the creation and maintenance of as-built documentation and project turnover deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience reviewing, modifying, and reading drawings in AutoCAD
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of drafting standards and practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience communicating with 3rd party engineering firms on project execution
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience within Petroleum Industry
Experience with 3-D modeling
Experience with facilities equipment evaluation and process optimization
Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in Facilities operations
Working knowledge of Bluebeam
