Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring a field support technician on to the team. This person will be working on a project involving the oil and gas space and working closely with two engineers. Some of the responsibilities include:
• Respond and approve RFIs related to alignment, depth, and conflicts
• Review and approve material submittals or substitutions
• Review installation against design requirements
• Assist with hydrostatic pressure test and PSSR documentation
• Ensure documentation alignment between mechanical contractor, NDT contractor, As-built survey crews, and inspection
• Review HDD drill plans and bore pilot profiles before execution with client
• Adjust cover requirements or clearances if issues arise with client
• Ensure T&M and UPI items are being recorded and accurately and timely
• Support coordination between mechanical, NDT, as-built, inspection, helical piles, subcontractors, etc.
• Provide support as needed to as-built crews
• Reviewing survey data for accuracy
• Validating final pipeline alignment and depth
• Preparing or reviewing as-built drawings
Estimated pay 30-40/HR

Required Skills & Experience

- Have their GED or HS Diploma
- Someone with 6+ years of field experience in the construction space
o Ideally in the oil/gas space or similar industry
- Design and Field Experience
- Has done quality control before in some capacity
- Has worked cross functionally with engineers
- Strong in excel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Oil and gas or refinery experience
- Osha certified but can get trained on this on the job
