Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a Lead Test and Balance Tech that is responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing the testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC and process air systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards. This role leads field technicians, coordinates testing schedules with production and maintenance teams, interprets drawings and specifications, documents results, and troubleshoots airflow, pressure, and system performance issues. The Lead Technician ensures quality control, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate reporting while serving as the technical point of contact for engineers, contractors, and plant management, and may also support training and mentoring of junior technicians.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1-2 years of experience as a LEAD Test and Balance Technician or working independently on projects
- Airflow
- Hydronic Balancing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- NEBB, AABC or TABB certifications (Pay goes up to 45/hr for a certified tech)
