Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a top manufacturing client. This individual will play a critical role in supporting plant operations by managing the procurement of raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in NetSuite, and experienced in vendor coordination and inventory management. This role partners closely with plant leadership to ensure materials are available, inventory is accurate, and supplier performance meets operational standards—making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable, production-focused environment.
Day-to-Day:
• Obtain quotes for materials, services, tools, and equipment
• Create and process purchase orders per approval policies and spending limits
• Place orders for raw materials, chemicals, subcontracted services, and supplies via NetSuite
• Follow up with vendors to expedite, modify, or resolve order issues
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance; maintain Approved Vendors List
• Enter and maintain purchasing, receiving, and production data in NetSuite
• Review inventory levels (glass, resin, hardener) and adjust as needed
• Process receipts of goods, invoices, and reconcile purchase clearing accounts
• Support physical inventory counts and reconciliation efforts
• Partner with the Plant Manager on monthly and ad hoc inventory counts

Required Skills & Experience
• 1–3 years of purchasing experience or equivalent education/experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Inventory reconciliation and physical inventory count experience
• Experience using NetSuite (Purchasing/Receiving modules)
• Proficiency with MS Office (email, Word, Excel/spreadsheets)
• Understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health & safety requirements
• Manufacturing or plant-based purchasing experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working with raw materials, chemicals, or capital equipment
- Vendor performance tracking and evaluation experience
- Ability to read and write in English and Spanish
