Job Description
A client in Spring, TX is looking for an Enterprise Architect Manager to lead the definition, governance, and adoption of enterprise-wide technology architecture across applications, cloud, and infrastructure teams. This role will require someone with a background of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders while guiding engineering teams. The person needs to have a proven track record of driving enterprise architecture strategy, implementing standards, and enabling scalable, compliant solutions across multiple domains. This person will also be responsible for guiding application modernization efforts (microservices, APIs, event-driven, cloud-native architectures) and partnering with the engineering and platform teams to implement DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Lastly, they will be providing architectural oversight across cloud (Azure preferred), networking, and identity (Zero Trust, Entra ID, MFA) and developing reusable architectural patterns and models to improve delivery speed and consistency. This role is looking to pay between $60-75/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10–12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior engineering roles
• Experience driving enterprise-wide architecture strategy and adoption
• Strong background in modern application architecture (microservices, APIs, distributed systems)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform, Bicep)
• Cloud expertise in Azure, including networking, identity, and governance
• Experience participating in or leading Architecture Review Boards (ARB)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both executives and engineers
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (NIST, Zero Trust, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell)
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, Kubernetes (CKA)
• Prior leadership or mentorship experience
