Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer supporting customers in the Sherman, TX area. This individual will be responsible for the installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently from a home office while delivering exceptional customer support in the field.

Perform installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment at customer facilities.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues on installed systems.
Provide timely field service support and maintain strong customer relationships.
Deliver maintenance and operational training to customer personnel.
Generate detailed service reports and submit documentation to company headquarters following service activities.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues.
Participate in on-call and standby support rotations as needed.
Travel extensively throughout the United States to support customer installations and service needs.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ability to work independently in a remote field-based environment.
Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI within the past 3 years).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working across the semiconductor industry or in a Fab setting.
