Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and refine SysML-based system models supporting architecture definition, requirements decomposition, interface design, and verification planning for nuclear surety and weapons storage systems
- Utilize MBSE/MSBE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, MATLAB/Simulink, STK or similar) to support design trades, risk assessments, and technical baseline decisions in high-reliability environments
- Support the design, integration, and sustainment of nuclear surety systems, including weapon storage, security infrastructure, and associated support systems
- Ensure system models accurately reflect nuclear surety requirements, safety constraints, and mission assurance standards
- Participate in and support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR), providing engineering analysis and recommendations to PMO leadership
- Apply systems engineering expertise across the DoD and Air Force acquisition lifecycle, including requirements development, milestone preparation, and risk management
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, safety, and operational teams to ensure systems meet strict compliance, reliability, and inspection standards
- Support configuration management and traceability of requirements, interfaces, and verification artifacts across the system lifecycle
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior leaders, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience in DoD, Air Force, or mission-critical programs
- Hands-on experience with MBSE/MSBE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of high-reliability systems engineering principles (nuclear surety, safety-critical systems, or mission assurance environments preferred)
- Strong understanding of the DoD 5000 acquisition framework, digital engineering principles, and technical baseline management
- Ability to develop, interpret, and maintain complex system models and simulations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with DOORS for capturing and/or tracking requirements
DevSecOps experience
- Experience designing, implementing, and/or managing CI/CD pipelines
- Containerization experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Prior experience supporting nuclear surety or other high-security DoD environments
