Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with Tort litigation experience to support attorneys within a public-sector, transportation-focused legal environment. This role provides hands-on litigation support across tort matters and requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
•Provide litigation support for tort-related matters, including personal injury and complex claims
•Assist with discovery, including document collection, review, production, and responses
•Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, correspondence, and legal memoranda
•Track court deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and manage case files
•Support trial and hearing preparation, including exhibits, binders, and deposition materials
•Conduct legal and factual research under attorney supervision
• Coordinate with attorneys, internal stakeholders, courts, and outside counsel
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with public-sector legal and records requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:
•3–5+ years of paralegal experience with a strong focus on tort or litigation support
•Working knowledge of state and federal litigation procedures
•Experience managing discovery and court filings
•Strong written communication, organization, and time-management skills
•Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•Paralegal certificate or degree
•Experience in a public-sector, transportation, or government environment
•Familiarity with e-filing systems and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw or LexisNexis)
•Trial or deposition support experience
