Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Permitting & Compliance Project Manager to join an existing Land Development team for one of our largest technology clients. This person will work in Texas. Overseeing data center construction projects in the region and is responsible for the development and on-time delivery of environmental permits to support construction of Data Centers needed to buildout cloud infrastructure.
The main function of a Data Center Environmental Permitting Program Manager is to manage environmental due diligence, environmental permitting acquisition and approvals, and support compliance activities during site acquisition, design, and construction.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage environmental due diligence and environmental permitting acquisition and approvals.
• Support compliance activities during site acquisition, design, and construction.
• Responsible for the development and on-time delivery of environmental permits to support construction of data centers.
• Regularly collaborate with key Microsoft stakeholders, including legal, design, construction, and operations teams.

Pay for this role is between 40-90/hr

Required Skills & Experience
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent
• 10+ years of environmental permitting and approvals experience, including management of environmental impact assessments, acquisition of permits, new region regulatory reviews, cultural and ecological surveys and approvals, and environmental programs development.
• 5+ years conducting environmental due diligence and risk assessments for greenfield and brownfield sites, including environmental site assessments and remediation.
• Experience with mission critical facilities or large-scale construction projects
• Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high standards for quality of deliverables.
• Strong background in project management and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
• Specific knowledge of environmental permitting programs and requirements including, but not limited to air quality, threatened and endangered, USACE/404 permitting, SPCC, cultural resources, etc.
• Working knowledge of remedial investigations, remediation strategies and execution, site conceptual models and site management plans.
• Ability to develop permitting timelines, and identify permitting risks and mitigation
