Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner to support the Auxiliary Power Unit domain within an aerospace program. This role requires a highly experienced Agile Product Owner who can immediately step into a complex aerospace and defense environment, understand the business strategy, and translate it into an executable product roadmap. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused PO role—not entry-level. The Product Owner will be designated and is expected to hit the ground running, operate with minimal ramp-up time, and serve as a trusted partner between engineering and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the link between business strategy and technical execution, converting strategy into features, epics, and user stories
Own and drive the product roadmap, timelines, and priorities, with limited discovery but heavy execution focus
Partner closely with business stakeholders (strategy owners) to translate vision into an actionable roadmap
Create, manage, and maintain user stories in Jira and supporting documentation in Confluence
Validate user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure technical accuracy and business alignment
Work within a fully operational web application environment and existing tool ecosystem
Communicate clearly and confidently up to senior business stakeholders, providing status, risks, and roadmap updates
Ensure delivery teams are aligned, unblocked, and working against a clearly defined backlog
Operate as a technical Product Owner, comfortable validating implementation details and outcomes

Required Skills & Experience
7–10+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner (or equivalent) in complex, technical environments
Proven ability to own product strategy execution, not just backlog grooming
Extensive experience working in Agile environments with Jira and Confluence
Ability to quickly understand business objectives and convert them into executable technical plans
Experience validating and refining technical user stories with engineering teams
Comfortable operating as a senior, authoritative PO in front of both business and technical leaders
Ability to work independently, make decisions, and drive outcomes with minimal oversight
Background in Aerospace & Defense
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting complex or regulated technology programs.
• Familiarity with Palantir platforms or similar data-driven tools.
• Background working within large-scale enterprise or transformation initiatives.
