Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a quality inspector in the Rockwall TX area. This will be a first shift position 7am-4pm M-F on a 9/80 work schedule. This person will perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections on electrical and mechanical hardware. This role ensures that products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements through hands-on inspection, measurement, and documentation. The ideal candidate has strong experience interpreting drawings, working with precision measurement tools, and evaluating complex hardware in a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant inspection experience, OR
Associate’s degree with 2+ years of related experience
Hands-on experience performing electrical and mechanical hardware inspections
Strong ability to read and interpret:
Engineering drawings
Specifications and diagrams
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, gauges, dimensional tools)
Experience performing visual inspection under magnification (microscopes)
Experience documenting nonconformances and inspection results
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with IPC-J-STD-001 and/or NASA-STD-8739 inspection standards
Experience inspecting microcircuits or circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
