Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an OSP Fiber/GIS Engineer that is responsible for supporting fiber plant design and telecom construction efforts through accurate interpretation, documentation, and GIS updates. This role focuses on reading and interpreting fiber construction as‑builts, splice schematics, and cut sheets, and updating network records by creating and modifying linear and point features within GIS platforms such as VZ‑3GIS, ArcGIS/ESRI, or similar systems. The position requires hands‑on experience with telecom or data networking environments, a strong understanding of network plant and local construction practices, and working knowledge of right‑of‑way, property rights, and permitting. The engineer gathers, analyzes, and integrates spatial data, prepares maps and diagrams, and supports engineering databases and systems while working independently across multiple projects. Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to resolve data discrepancies and support accurate network documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience with reading/interpreting fiber construction as-builts and fiber splicing cut sheets or schematics.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience with modifying and creating linear and point features and attributes from documentation in VZ-3GIS or similar GIS application (ESRI, ArcGIS, AutoCAD).
3. Able to work independently on multiple projects within organizational practices and guidelines.
