Job Description
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the migration and ongoing operation of a critical Internet Backup Service application currently hosted by a third‑party vendor. This role will work closely with internal engineering, security, and vendor teams to transition the application into the AWS environment and support it once it is brought in‑house.
• Facilitate migration of a vendor‑hosted SaaS application into the internal AWS environment.
• Coordinate security and compliance reviews with internal security organizations.
• Work directly with the vendor to gather architecture, infrastructure, and security details.
• Track progress of security approvals and provide status updates to leadership.
• Support the application once it is migrated into the infrastructure.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances and supporting services.
• Perform system updates, patching, and operational maintenance.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate operational tasks using AI and automation tools.
- Must work On-site in the Plano, TX lab.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
- Hands‑on experience working within AWS environments (EC2 and core infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including routing and IP addressing.
• Experience working with Linux environments (patching, updates, general administration).
• Experience working in enterprise environments with security and compliance requirements.
• Ability to coordinate across technical teams and vendors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field strongly preferred.
