Insight Global is looking for a Mainframe Software Engineer to join a leading client in Prague.
Mainframe systems are at the heart of the digital economy, with 80% of the world’s structured corporate data residing or originating on mainframes, and 55% of all enterprise applications hitting the mainframe to complete transactions. We are seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer (ICB3) to join our mission-critical mainframe software development team. This role is unique, requiring a senior level developer who possesses a "Quality First" mindset. You will spend the majority of your time on core development—designing, coding and optimizing mainframe software—and will be assisting when required with Quality Assurance activities, for example test design, automation, CI/CD integration and more.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Software Development or QA
- Proficiency in Mainframe Assembler programming and z/OS concepts
- Strong expertise in Db2 for z/OS (Administration and Internals)
- Experience with debugging tools such as z/XDC and IPCS
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of C/C++
- Experience in Test Automation (one or more: Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
- Familiarity with Jenkins and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and bug-tracking software (e.g., Rally)
