Job Description

During the first several months, this role will be heavily focused on procurement and coordination of Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) for active data center construction projects. The APM will track critical equipment packages, manage vendor communications, monitor manufacturing and delivery schedules, coordinate logistics, and help mitigate risks related to long-lead MEP infrastructure. As the role evolves, the individual will transition into broader project management responsibilities, supporting field construction activities, contractor coordination, schedule management, project reporting, cost tracking, and issue resolution. Working closely with project managers, construction teams, and key stakeholders, the APM will play a critical role in helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with Google's quality and operational standards. Preferably this resource would be onsite near Oklaunion, TX 5 days a week.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience supporting construction projects as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within commercial, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or mission-critical construction environments.
Experience managing procurement, tracking, expediting, or coordinating delivery of major construction equipment and materials.
Ability to work cross-functionally with vendors, contractors, engineers, procurement teams, and site leadership.
Experience reviewing project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced construction environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, utility, or large industrial construction experience.
Experience supporting Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) procurement and delivery.
Familiarity with BIM, construction management software, Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar project management platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
