Job Description

Insight Global is searching for 2 Sr. DevOps Engineers to join a large retail client sitting in Irving, TX. The Senior DevOps Engineer on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is part of DevOps team responsible to manage our infrastructure on GCP, collaborate with application developers to automate and expedite the testing, release, and deployment of applications into a runtime environment in a timely and dependable manner. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience with automation and deployment tools. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available. These engineers will be responsible for improving cloud product reliability, availability, maintainability, and cost/benefit--including developing fault-tolerant tools to ensure general robustness of the cloud infrastructure. Additionally, this candidate will monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues to ensure high availability and reliability, work closely with development teams to identify and address infrastructure issues, and collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure is compliant with company policies and industry standards. They will also be held to mentoring and guiding Jr. DevOps Engineers

Required Skills & Experience

* 6+ years of experience as an Sr. DevOps Engineer focused within GCP platforms.

* 6+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform for automating infrastructure deployment.

* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, etc.

* Experience with Docker containerization, Helm charts, K8S control planes, and observability tools like Rancher and Rafay.

* Hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and implementing containerized workloads across GCP, using Kubernetes infrastructure.

* Proficient in at least two or more software languages (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software delivery

* Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for production systems.

* Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* IaC/GCP/Kubernetes Certification

* Retail experience
