Insight Global is seeking a Sr Network Engineer to support an oil & gas client’s Network Team and Infrastructure Organization. This position is responsible for supporting, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting computer networks for an organization. The position is also responsible for network security, response, incident management, service requests, and security event participation.
Other responsibilities include strategic development to ensure performance, availability, integrity, and security of the company’s LAN and WAN infrastructure. Monitoring and improving network performance and utilization to provide network high availability and redundancy.
Execute on future expansion requirements, including the installation and testing of network and telecommunication system upgrades and patches when needed. Develop security measures to safeguard all company networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ideal candidates should be proficient in network architecture, design, and all data network-based technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi.
• Ability to design and deploy end-to-end enterprise networks.
• Leads and drives Network Security efforts, including design, technical investigations, event resolution, data collection, and analysis.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Provides support to technical Information technology teams and leads advanced troubleshooting efforts. Perform root cause analysis, problem isolation, and incident resolution.
• Create and implement network security measures and maintain security measures to defend against outside threats or malicious attacks.
• Drives continuous improvement and efficiency across network infrastructure.
• Technical management and oversight for deploying and maintaining global network infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience working as a Senior Network Engineer in a corporate environment with experience of Cisco Enterprise routing and switching, network design, deployment, configuration, and high-level troubleshooting experience is desired.
• Strong understanding of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF routing, and Cisco IOS
• Extensive in-depth knowledge of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) solutions, architectures, and deployment projects, preferably with Arista VeloCloud.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, design and implementation experience
• Experience with network capacity planning, network security architecture, and general network management best practices
• In-depth experience in Meraki switches and WAPS, including familiarity with the Meraki dashboard for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network security solutions.
• Firsthand experience with Cisco Firepower appliances, Cisco Next Generation Firewalls, and Firewall Management Center (FMC)
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE), including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in IT Planning, including project planning, design, working with support vendors, configuration planning, deployment, high availability/business continuity, and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – CCNP Enterprise
