Job Description

An upstream oil and gas client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Regulatory Specialist to providepermitting and regulatory compliance expertise. This role requires collaboration with technical/legal/land for input/support required for the permitting process to submit applications to the USCG, BSEE, BOEM, PHMSA and USACE. This position will be responsible for permitting and regulatory compliance activities including but not limited to acting as the subject matter expert regarding all state, federal, and transportation regulations. This individual ensures the companys compliance with rules and regulations through all phases of exploration and development. The Regulatory Specialist will work with multiple teams to compile information required to file applications as well as maintain, identify, and track regulatory requirements, submissions, and approvals. This person will be required to develop business relationships with regulatory agencies and project partners and communicate regulatory requirements and deadlines to the company. This position requires on-call duties, consisting of taking calls after business hours, when appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years equivalent experience in offshore regulatory permitting and support
Well-versed in environmental and regulatory laws and practices (USCG, BSEE, BOEM, PHMSA and USACE)
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and SharePoint
Experience building relationships with regulatory agencies and project stakeholders
Excellent communication and organization skills
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
Knowledge of BSEE eWell & TIMSWeb applications

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree
