Job Description
The Contract Land Analyst reports to the Land Manager and supports accurate land records management by entering, verifying, and maintaining land documents tied to pipeline assets and GIS parcel data. The role involves reviewing alignment maps and documentation to identify assets, surface ownership, and grantor information, and ensuring documents are properly organized and linked to the correct parcels. Responsibilities include auditing land records for accuracy across easements, leases, deeds, and other agreements, as well as plotting legal descriptions and validating locations against alignment sheets and GIS data. This is a primarily digital, detail‑oriented role that may also require reviewing physical documentation and performing additional duties as assigned. This is a 2 year long contract.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in land records administration, management, and documentation for pipeline systems
Experience associating legal descriptions and linking them to the correct parcel
Experience with real property leases, lease payments, payment escalations, and lease obligations
Able to understand a deed without an alignment sheet
Proven ability to interpret land‑related legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets, and maps
Understanding of basic land agreement terms, including easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments
Basic land/description title experience
Proficiency with Google Earth and GIS software, including ESRI products
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Quorum On Demand Land
Experience working with Quorum
Prior experience tying land agreements directly to GIS parcel data
Experience plotting legal descriptions using deed plotting software
Familiarity with as‑built alignment sheets and physical land documentation
Prior contract or project‑based experience in land or right‑of‑way roles
