Job Description
About Mariana Minerals
Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We're reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
The Role
Mariana Minerals is looking for a detail-driven Procurement Coordinator to support procurement across our large capital projects. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will keep the RFQ-to-purchase-order cycle moving—issuing and tracking requests for quotation, expediting vendor responses, consolidating and leveling bids, and sourcing equipment (including used and surplus) to hit project cost and schedule targets. You will also build and maintain the trackers and dashboards that give the team real-time visibility into procurement status. This is a hands-on, high-tempo role for someone who is relentlessly organized and thrives on driving many moving pieces to closure.
What You'll Do
• Prepare, issue, and log RFQs to vendors per the project procurement plan; maintain bidders lists and vendor contacts
• Expedite and chase vendor responses; track RFQ status and follow up on late or incomplete quotes
• Receive, log, and consolidate incoming bids; check completeness and compliance against RFQ scope
• Pre-populate bid tabulation / bid leveling forms (commercial and technical line items) for lead review, normalizing bids to a common basis—scope, terms, exclusions, freight, tax, and lead time
• Identify and source used and surplus equipment through dealers, auctions, and marketplaces; compile options with specifications, condition, price, and availability
• Support purchase order and requisition issuance and tracking under the lead's direction
• Build and maintain procurement dashboards and trackers—RFQ status, PO log, expediting, and savings
• Coordinate with engineering, project controls, and document control on requisitions and vendor documents; maintain complete, auditable procurement records
Desired Qualifications
• 2–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, or expediting—ideally on capital projects or in an industrial / EPC environment
• Working knowledge of the RFQ-to-PO cycle and bid tabulation / leveling
• Strong Excel skills (tables, lookups, pivot tables) for bid comparisons and dashboards
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to drive many vendors in parallel
• Clear written and verbal communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or engineering—or equivalent experience
Preferred, but not required:
• Experience in mining / minerals, oil & gas, chemical, power, or heavy-industrial EPC
• Used and surplus equipment sourcing experience
• Experience with ERP / e-procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, Procore, or similar)
• Ability to read equipment datasheets, specifications, and P&IDs at a basic level
• Proficiency with Power BI or similar dashboarding tools; CPSM or CSCP certification a plus
