Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Full Stack Integration/Solutions Engineer to provide various technical and business solutions for a leading global oil and gas company. This individual will be supporting the Scheduling and Project Controls team that supports the larger Wells Execution group. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and modernizing legacy digital equipment (i.e. Primavera P6) and migrating them to approved platforms. They will also be ensuring that both legacy and new software are fully integrated, automated and ensure accurate data transfer between systems. Other duties include:

• Design and implement system integrations by connecting platforms via APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) and optimizing data flow between systems
• Lead PoC discovery by defining the problem, capturing requirements, and setting success metrics
• Deliver PoCs including UI, backend services, integrations, automation, and deployment
• Apply enterprise standards & guardrails so PoCs can be scaled & maintained
• Run stakeholder demos, capture feedback, and iterate rapidly
• Document & hand off to delivery teams with a clear path to MVP/production.

This is a year-long, rolling contract that has high opportunity to extend on a year-by-year basis. Conversion to a FTE is possible but not guaranteed. Ideal candidate is located in Houston and can come into the Client's downtown office 3-4 days a week. Full benefits are available to opt-in to.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years within full-stack software delivery, digital consulting, or solution engineering
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience using Java/Python on backend and React/Angular/Vue (or related) on front end. Ideally all of the systems listed.
• Extensive experience designing & implementing system integrations vis APIs (REST or GraphQL) and optimizing data flows between systems
• Demonstrated experience delivering rapid PoCs/prototypes and translating ambiguous problems into working software.
• Working knowledge of cloud services and deploying applications like AWS (ECS/EKS/EC2/Lambda), Azure (AKS) OpenShift & API Gateway/APIM/Apigee/MuleSoft etc.)
• Experience with agile delivery and stakeholder management

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Primavera P6 is highly preferred. Experience with similar scheduling and cost controls software like EcoSys, Mic
• Experience with low-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform) and governance models
• Familiarity with data engineering basics (ETL/ELT, analytics, data quality)
• Exposure to LLM/AI-enabled application patterns (if relevant to your org)
• Prior work in enterprise environments with security and compliance constraint
