Job Description
The Fiber Testing Implementation Specialist serves as the onsite technical lead for infrastructure testing, validation, and quality assurance across data center environments. This role is responsible for ensuring all fiber and copper infrastructure is properly tested, documented, and validated before deployment handoff and operational turnover.
The IS oversees testing activities, troubleshooting efforts, and quality compliance throughout the deployment lifecycle. Working across enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, and edge environments, the IS ensures infrastructure meets performance standards, testing requirements, and customer specifications.
Success in this role is measured by testing accuracy, defect identification, documentation quality, deployment readiness, and successful project turnover.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience performing fiber and copper infrastructure testing, validation, and troubleshooting within data center, telecommunications, or enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of fiber testing methodologies, including OTDR testing, loss testing, and certification of fiber optic installations.
Hands-on experience utilizing testing equipment such as Fluke and EXFO tools to validate infrastructure performance and document results.
Ability to conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews, ensuring all installations meet customer specifications, industry standards, and pass/fail requirements.
Experience analyzing test results, identifying deficiencies, and coordinating remediation activities to achieve successful network acceptance.
Preferred experience with fiber splicing, cable replacement, and resolving infrastructure issues identified during testing and validation efforts.
